RDM and inclusivity in neuroscience

A selection of activities from my previous job

With my background in cognitive neuroscience, I started my career as a data manager in a developmental neuroscience research group. Here is a selection of contributions I made to this discipline during that time:

• As described in this blog post, I co-created a data sharing guide for neuroscientists collecting MRI data. There is both a static version as well as an online interactive version
• Together with my now ex-colleague Eduard Klapwijk, we created the SYNC lab wiki, which exhibits how we worked in my previous workplace and contains practical information on open science, data management, data analysis, general administration, etc. We also wrote out contributing guidelines target so that all lab members could contribute.
• I used to be an active member of the Brainhack community. Within this community, I got the opportunity to co-author on a couple community papers on the BrainHack conference and Inclusivity in online conferences.
• I was a member of the organizing committee of the online OpenMR Benelux conference in 2021.
